Live versus named direction

TTK Testing planned modes

CQB PVP was described as in the game on June 2, 2026. Co-op hostage rescue and Big PVP were named core modes. The later public test is still a 12-player deathmatch-style experience. This page keeps those clocks apart.

The short answer

TTK Testing has more than one official vocabulary for modes, and they are not all "live now." On June 2, 2026 the DevForum post said the game at that moment had PVP multi-mode play plus character and weapon customization. It named CQB PVP as in the game. It named co-op missions and hostage rescues, and Big PVP with vehicle transport and long-range shooting, as core modes. The same post said the current reality then was PVP, so co-op was a core direction rather than a mode the post claimed you could queue that week. The Roblox description, as this wiki recorded it on October 15, 2026 and as the genre labels still read on October 25, presents a public deathmatch-style test and lists co-op PVE with squad AI, story breach missions, and team PVP as intent. Survival, Missions, Quick Play, and Ground War remain the planned names already documented on the modes page from the developer discussion. This page does not glue those names together where the sources do not.

Three clocks, kept apart

NameWhere it is writtenStatus this page will defend
Public FFA / deathmatch testThis wiki's October 15 listing pass. October 25 API genre: Shooter / Deathmatch Shooter. maxPlayers 12.The live public shape we can point at without a mode menu screenshot. Not a claim that the menu button says only "FFA."
CQB PVPDevForum, June 2, 2026, marked as in the game. CQB is the usual expansion "close-quarters battle," which the post itself does not need to spell for the acronym to be the mode name they used.In the game as of that post. The October listing does not repeat the label. We do not know whether the button still uses those words. We do not announce a removal either.
PVP multi-mode, customizationSame post: what existed then, along with callouts, stances, lasers, flashlights, leaning, door kicking, and lockpicking.A June 2 inventory of systems. Not a promise each one is in the October 25 menu, and not a key bind.
Co-op missions / hostage rescuesJune 2 core-mode list. The post's "currently PVP" line keeps this out of the live column for that date.Named core direction as of June 2. Not confirmed live on the October public description.
Big PVPJune 2 core-mode list, with vehicle transport and long-range shooting in the description of that mode.Named core mode. The post does not give it the same "in the game" mark it gives CQB PVP. Do not queue it in your head as current.
Co-op PVE, squad AI, story breach missions, team PVPOfficial Roblox description's statement of intent.Plans. Story breach missions are not automatically the same product as June's hostage rescues. Team PVP is not automatically Big PVP. The sources do not equate the phrases.
Survival, Missions, Quick Play, Ground WarDeveloper discussion as already summarized on the modes and updates pages: waves, linear co-op operations, standard PVP, larger objective PVP.Planned directions. No release order and no date. Not renamed by this page into the June list.

The design line next to the June list matters. The team said the game should be easy to pick up and lightly realistic, not a hardcore milsim. That sentence governs tone for every mode they named. It does not make co-op live, and it does not tell you the difficulty settings of a future mission. Door kicking is named as a feature in that post, and the official description later talks about story breach missions. Both phrases are about getting through doors in a tactical setting. Equating them into one shipped mission would still be a guess. Say they rhyme. Do not merge the rows.

Genre "Deathmatch Shooter" on the October 25 API read supports the public deathmatch reading. A genre label is a catalog category. It can stay in place while the team builds other modes. It is not a denial of the June CQB sentence, and it is not a confirmation that vehicles from Big PVP are on the map. Vehicle transport is a Big PVP detail from June 2. No vehicle list, map, or seat count is published here, so none is printed.

What you can practice now that still matches the plans

The confirmed PC actions are the part that transfers without pretending you have played a mode that is still a plan. M2 to aim and M1 to fire are the gunplay of CQB PVP and of any later PVP mode. Q and E lean, which the June post also names as leaning, is the close-quarters habit the lean page already teaches from cover. C crouches. Number keys swap. P is helmetcam, which is a view tool, not a mode. Transparent Optics is a sight setting. None of these inputs proves you are in a hostage rescue.

Callouts are named in the June post and not scripted on this site. We will not invent a callout wheel or a list of room names. Maps on this wiki stay nameless on purpose. If you talk to teammates in a live PVP round, describe what you see in ordinary words. A 12-player free-for-all may not give you a team at all. Do not force a co-op callout habit onto FFA and then call it the official communication system. The FFA page assumes opponents can come from more than one direction because that is what free-for-all means on this wiki, not because a roster was published.

How to tell a live mode from a paragraph

  1. Open place ID 120189115846709 and read the description's verbs. "Testing" and "we intend" are not "select this in the menu."
  2. In the client, open the mode or server entry the game actually shows. Write the label you see and the date. If it says something like the SERVERBROWSER title this wiki recorded on October 15, that is a live label for that date. If it shows a name from the table above, you may upgrade that row for yourself. Mail hello@ttktesting.com if you want the public table changed, and include what the screen said.
  3. Do not upgrade a row from a thumbnail, a video title, or a loading tip alone. Those are leads.
  4. Keep June 2 sentences in the June column even if you love them. CQB PVP was in the game then. Co-op hostage rescue was named. Your October queue is a separate observation.
  5. When the API updated field moves past 2026-10-23, re-read the description before you announce that Big PVP or squad AI shipped. The updates page is the changelog of dated facts, not a hype calendar.
  6. Ignore unlock advice that depends on a future mode. XP/IC may be wiped, and no mode on the plan list has a published entry fee.

A useful personal test, if the client lets you choose more than one queue, is to write one line: "On this date the buttons were…" and stop. Do not estimate player counts per mode. The only cap in the October 25 record is maxPlayers 12 for the experience, plus a 10-server sample that all showed that cap. The record does not split 12 by mode. A future Big PVP could be described as larger in the June post's "large PVP" idea without a number this page is willing to invent. The June post says long-range shooting and vehicle transport. It does not say a player count. Ground War, on the existing modes page, is "larger objective-based PVP," also without a headcount. Leave both without a fake server size.

Features that are not modes

Door kicking, lockpicking, lasers, flashlights, stances, and callouts are systems in the June post. Leaning is both a system there and a published PC input, Q and E. A system can show up inside CQB PVP without becoming its own playlist. When a guide says "the lockpick mode," it has promoted a feature word into a queue. Ask for the menu label. The glossary keeps these words as terms, not as playlists.

The in-game report system is also not a mode. It is a testing tool with 3D replay for cheat checks, covered on the report page. Squad AI belongs to the co-op PVE intent in the official description. It is not a confirmed enemy roster, and this page will not name enemy types.

Common mistakes

  • Saying every named mode is playable because the DevForum called them core. Core is the team's priority list. "In the game" is a different mark, and on June 2 it was attached to CQB PVP.
  • Equating Survival with hostage rescue, or Ground War with Big PVP, or story breach missions with door kicking, without a sentence that connects them. Rhyme is not identity.
  • Announcing vehicles, maps, or a long-range damage model for Big PVP. The post names the idea. It does not ship the spreadsheet.
  • Treating the 2026 Innovation in Tech line as a mode release. Awards are not playlists.
  • Using the Halloween pumpkin or [NEW AR15] as proof a PVE event started. Those are title marks on the October 25 name string. See the Halloween page and the AR15 page.

FAQ

Can I play hostage rescue tonight?

The June 2 post lists co-op missions and hostage rescues as a core mode and says the game then was PVP. The later public description still speaks of co-op as intent. Unless your client shows the mode, assume you cannot.

Is CQB PVP the same thing as the FFA test?

Not proven. CQB PVP was in the game on June 2. The October public record is a 12-player deathmatch-style test. They might overlap in the actual build. The sources do not say "CQB was renamed FFA." Play what the menu says and keep both labels dated.

Did Big PVP add a player count?

No count beyond the experience cap of 12 is published. The June post describes Big PVP with vehicles and long-range shooting. It does not give a headcount. Do not borrow one from Ground War either. Ground War has no published headcount on this wiki.

Are lockpicking and door kicking controls I should bind?

They are feature names from June 2. The published PC controls do not assign them keys. If the client shows a prompt, follow the prompt. Otherwise leave them unbound in your notes.

Which page is the short mode list?

The modes page keeps FFA versus Survival, Missions, Quick Play, and Ground War. This page adds the June 2 core-mode wording and refuses to collapse the two lists.
